源氏物語に登場する女性たちをテーマに染めるシリーズ、
「紫の上」の回です。
その生涯のほとんどを光源氏と共に過ごした源氏物語のヒロインとも言われることの多い紫の上は、幼い頃その姿に見惚れた源氏が理想の女性に育て上げ、結婚します。
以前幼少期の色合いを染めましたが、今回は大人になり亡くなるまでの物語からのインスピレーションで染めました。
源氏の正妻として長く源氏と共に生活する紫の上。
彼女自身には子供がありませんでしたが、源氏と明石の君の間に生まれた女児を我が子のように
育て上げます。
結婚してからも恋多き源氏でしたから、度々の浮気に心傷つくことも多かったのですが、
机上で穏やか、聡明、そして子供好きな優しい女性に育ちました。
その名前も紫の上ですから、紫をメインカラーに、深みのあるボルドーから、
藤色のような淡い紫、そして、成熟した紫の上雰囲気を想像しながら色を調合しました。
ぜひ楽しんでいただきたいです。
シルケット加工の艶も相まって、どこか和風な雰囲気も感じる良い仕上がりになりました。

刺し子、こぎん刺し、ダーニング、てまり、刺繍など、幅広くお使い頂ける綿糸です。

糸の長さは７０メートル程度、
20/4コーマ、シルケット加工の糸、
大切に染めていますが、手染めなので色ムラがあったり、糸の継ぎ目がある場合があります。
濃い色は色落ちすることが可能性としてございます。

また、染める際の枷により色の違いが見られます。
手染め、手仕事ゆえですが、ご理解いただける方にお求めいただけますと幸いです。

This is the "Murasaki Ue" episode.
Murasaki Ue, who is often referred to as the heroine of The Tale of Genji, spent most of her life with Hikaru Genji. Genji admired her as a child, raised her to be his ideal woman, and married her.
I previously dyed the color from my childhood, but this time I was inspired by the story of how I grew up and died.
Murasaki no Ue lived with Genji for a long time as Genji's legal wife.
Although she had no children herself, she treated the girl born to Genji and Akashi no Kimi as her own.
I will raise it.
Even after getting married, Genji was always in love, so his frequent cheating often hurt his feelings.
I grew up to be a gentle, intelligent, and kind woman who loved children.

The name is also above purple, so the main color is purple, from deep bordeaux,
I mixed the colors while imagining the atmosphere of a pale mauve-like purple and a mature purple.
I hope you enjoy it.
Coupled with the luster of the mercerized finish, it has a nice finish that gives off a somewhat Japanese-style atmosphere.
